Ragnarok 2017 kite racing
One month was held the snow kiterace with mega participation in the spot of Ragnarok in Norway.
This year, the outcome spoke vigorously for our friends from Czech Rep and the Flysurfer kite team in definitely despite tougher conditions than in previous years.
Norwegian Hardangervidda plateau has run the legendary racing RedBull Ragnarok, which attracted more than 300 of the best world’s kitesurfing in snow riders.
The route for the competition was built in harder areas, more demanding than last year and one round has been set for 26km and an opened timeout 5 hours. Unlike earlier low wind conditions, this year wind conditions were in the range of 5 m/s to 20 m/s in the valleys along the top hills.
Fastest athletes coped 5 rounds, which in these conditions required a very good physical condition, and the 350 riders on the start line had a good chance to measure their strength and skills among the 29 nationalities that took part in the contest.
Brightest success rate was achieved by Mr Schutz in the category of snowboard men scoring a brilliant 3rd place! In the category of crack SKI men, like last year the three brave Jenky (5th) Kekert (6th) Lafoun (7th) scored in excellent place.
