Majorca lies to the east of the Spanish mainland. The island has a maximum east west expansion of 98 kilometres and a north south expansion of 78 kilometres. She is 3.603 km ², including smaller offshore islands 3.620 km ² largely. Besides, Majorca disposes of a coastal line of more than 550-kilometre length.

Majorca owns a temperate semitropical climate with on an average 7.9 solar hours on the day and average amounts of precipitation (1400 millimetres in the north, 400 millimetres in the south).

The short winters are mild partly by the island situation and are humid. However, in rare cases it can also come to snowfalls, particularly in the mountains. During the summer months, however, it hardly rains. Then the temperatures in the island inside can rise about 40 °C.

As an island Majorca is predestined for water sport of all kind. There are numerous sails, canoe, Diving, swimming courses and water-ski courses. In the mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana the most different alpine sports are exercised, before all mountain walking (trekking), Mountainbiken and climbing. On account of the favorable climate and the diverse topography the cycling is spread in winter not only with professional sportsmen, but increasingly also with ambitious amateur sportsmen.

Nevertheless, no other sport has made such a development on Majorca, like the Kiteboarding. On account of the regular thermal wind, especially from March to September Kiteboarder find the best conditions. In particular Alcudia in the north and Can Pastilla in the south are, on this occasion, the preferential spots. And for beginners the ideal place to learn Kitesboarding.

Our main spot for instructing is the Playa de Palma, which in the west with the wide beach of Can Pastilla begins and in the east with the beach of Arenal ends. Arenal and Can Pastilla have a long mole behind which according to wind direction perfect shallows conditions rule – who may prefere waves,  he finds best conditions in the middle of the bay. In the almost whole bay the seabed drops so gently that You have a gigantic standing area. In the main season we use our boat, with which the learning success even faster comes and also advancers kiter perfectly can practice.
